Hypnosis

Hypnotherapy* aka Hypnosis

(* from a coaching perspective)

Do you find yourself making decisions that you know are not serving you?  Such as, eating unhealthy foods that you know aren’t good for you and yet you keep reaching for it.  Maybe you want to stop smoking.  Perhaps you struggle with a bad habit like biting your nails.  Or you want to improve your performance in time management, stress, confidence, etc.

This is a sign that you are operating from an unconscious state.  The good news: you can do something about this!  And the answer is hypnotherapy!

Now you might be rolling your eyes at this answer, or you might be “sure, I don’t know what hypnotherapy is, but I am on board to fix my undesired habit.”

Hypnosis can help you address various issues:

  • Quit Smoking

  • Weight loss

  • Performance based (e.g., anxiety, stress, time management, positive thinking, relaxation, confidence, etc.)

  • Quit Bad habits (e.g., biting nails, etc.)

What is hypnotherapy/hypnosis?

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind; it is a naturally occurring trance state.  For example, was there a time when you tried to interact with someone who is deeply engrossed in the TV show?  This is the trance state we are talking about.

The legal definition is the altering of a person’s belief or reality through hypnotic suggestion.  Another definition is acceptance of selective thoughts, thinking, concepts, and ideas that is okay by you and consistent with your values.

The hypnotic suggestions are ones used to empower you.  And the good news is the hypnotic suggestions only work if they are in alignment with your value system.  So, this means the hypnotherapist will not be making anyone quack like a duck unless the person values quacking like a duck.

What are hypnotic suggestions?

Hypnotic suggestion is the new empowering belief repeatedly affirmed during the hypnotic state to replace the old, non-serving belief.
